What this support involves
Community access support is about helping participants take part in the life of their community. That might mean getting to an appointment, doing the weekly shop, joining a class or catching up with friends — with the right support alongside to make it work. We focus on building confidence and independence over time, so participants can do more of what matters to them, their way.
Who it may suit
This support may suit participants who want to be more active in their community, try new things, or who would like support getting to appointments, activities and social occasions. It can also suit people building confidence with getting out and about or using public transport.

How it can relate to your goals
Community access can support goals around participation, social connection and independence. Whether a participant is working towards attending appointments on their own, joining a regular group, or simply getting out more often, support is shaped around what they want to achieve — at a pace that suits them.
